Vodafone recognizes Kathrein’s supplier performance

Kathrein’s product division base station antennas and filters for mobile communications received an important prize at the “Vodafone Supplier Awards 2013”: Vodafone presented the “Outstanding delivery performance” category award to the Rosenheim antenna specialist company due to their consistent fulfillment of contractual requirements, continued outstanding delivery performance and customer focus.

As one of the world’s leading telecommunications companies with a significant presence in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, Vodafone and their partner networks evaluate the performance of their suppliers and record the success of their collaboration in a bi-annual supplier performance report.

Awards are given in five different categories: outstanding and reliable delivery performance, outstanding commercial value and product development, responsible supplier regarding sustainability and health and safety, extraordinary contribution and last but not least supplier of the year. Vodafone considered their 46 essential main suppliers in the evaluation.

Together with Anton Kathrein, the team manager of the mobile communications sales team, Lars Goldstein, was delighted to accept the award from the Vodafone Procurement Company at the Technology Centre of Vodafone’s partner McLaren Mercedes in Woking, Surrey. Whilst expressing his gratitude towards his sales team, Mr. Goldstein didn’t forget to mention all his colleagues from the order coordination, planning, customer service and order processing departments: “Had it not been for this team effort in our day to day business, we would not have received this award!”

Moreover, Kathrein was once again nominated for the “Supplier of the Year Award”, and captured the outstanding 2nd place of 2013.

Dipl.-Ing. Lars Goldstein stated: “As long-time partner, Kathrein wants to be able to support Vodafone in the best possible manner and continue to cooperate flexibly and proactively”. First and foremost, the focus should be placed on the day-to-day contact between the employees of Kathrein’s global sales network and the Vodafone operating companies.
